Should I get my dog an extra Parvo vaccination?
payton23 asked:
My vet told me that Parvo has been really bad this year and he recommends an extra vaccination for my bichon-poo. I don’t see the need for it for 2 reasons. Number 1…giving the dog more would only create more of a immunity to the drug than helping. And Number 2…if there is a new strand of Parvo the current drug wouldn’t protect her anyways. So am I wrong to disagree with the vet in this matter? Especially when my dog isn’t around other dogs/dog feces at all??
She is 18 weeks old and has already had all her recommended shots.

I used to vaccinate my dogs until I read about the dangers of Parvo vaccines.
