Dog weak after rabies and parvo shots. Is this normal?

My dog had his parvo and rabies shots yesterday. If we pet him on the side of his body where he got his shot he yelps. Plus, he is acting a little lethargic and sad like he doesn’t feel too good. Is this normal? Also, I wanted to give him a bath today but do you think it would be better to wait since he’s not feeling so well?

A friend of mine has a dog that was given Parvo shots and he developed Parvo just one day later.
